By using Foonts (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
What Foonts does
Foonts is a free, browser-based tool for converting TTF and OTF font files to WOFF and WOFF2 formats and for previewing fonts. All processing happens locally in your browser; we don't operate a server that receives or stores your font files.
Font licensing is your responsibility
Converting a font's file format does not change, extend, or remove any license attached to it. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the right to use, convert, and embed any font you process with this tool. Foonts does not verify font ownership or licensing, and we accept no liability for how converted files are subsequently used.
Acceptable use
- Don't use the Service to convert or distribute fonts you don't have the rights to.
- Don't attempt to disrupt, overload, or reverse-engineer the Service in a way that harms its availability to others.
- Don't use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
No warranty
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We don't guarantee that converted files will be error-free or suitable for every use case — always test converted fonts before relying on them in production.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Foonts and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service.
Third-party links and affiliate content
The Service may include links to third-party websites, including affiliate links in the "Recommended font bundles" section. We may earn a commission on purchases made through these links, at no extra cost to you. We don't control and aren't responsible for third-party sites' content, pricing, or availability.
Advertising
The Service may display advertising, including through Google AdSense, to help support free hosting of the tool.
Changes to the Service or these Terms
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service, or update these Terms, at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Foonts operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
